2 TBS butter
1 c. whipping cream (or Half & Half)
1 tsp vanilla
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Place butter, cream & vanilla in small heavy saucepan & warm on medium heat until butter is melted. Stir in half the chocolate chips, stirring constantly until melted. Add remaining chocolate, continuing to stir until smooth & creamy. Add additional cream by tablespoon amount if necessary. (Careful, added cream may "pop" when it hits the hot sauce.)
Pour into serving bowl & allow to cool.
This is wonderful for dipping strawberries or drizzled over a brownie sundae. The sauce hardens if used over ice cream, but stays soft & smooth for dipping or topping.
Easy enough, and sounds tasty. Just the thing with strawberries to cap that romantic meal.
ReplyDeleteAnother side of you comes shining though!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you liked strawberries!
It's like homemade Magic Shell, no? :) Only better!!
ReplyDeleteChocolate and strawberries are so delicious.
ReplyDeletePosted a response on my site about picking avocados.
Saw that Parker...thanks heaps!!!
ReplyDeleteI tried this sauce and used it as a topping for cake and ice cream balls.
ReplyDeleteCrumble a chocolate and white marble cake in use the crumbs to thoroughly coat a scoop of good real vanilla bean ice cream that is slightly soft. If it's too hard, the crumbs won't stick to the ice cream. Re-freeze the cake/ice cream balls.
Serve the sauce over thses babies and WATCH OUT!!
Sounds great! Thanks!!
